Our Advent Bible study this year is titled “An Unlikely Advent: Extraordinary People of the Christmas Story”, written by Rachel Billups. We will experience the Christmas story through the eyes of Zechariah and Elizabeth, King Herod, the magi, and the shepherds.
In the introduction, Rev. Billups raises the possibility that, “Perhaps you will discover that your unlikely story is more aligned with these men and women than you first realized, and ultimately that their story and yours are part of God’s unfolding of the Christmas story.”
Join us on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm in fellowship hall in the lower level of the church.
Our first Advent study meeting is scheduled for November 20. We will skip November 27 as that is the evening before Thanksgiving and resume on December 4, 11, and 18.
All are welcome – please contact Pastor Andrea at pastorandreajohnson@gmail.com or by phone at 269-317-1937 so we can make sure we have a book for you. The cost of the book is $12.
