The Lenten season is here and we are continuing our tradition of gathering on Wednesday nights to share a meal of soup and bread followed by Bible study. This year, our study book is “The Final Days” by Matt Rawle. We will spend time considering the Resurrection story in each of the four New Testament Gospels. As Matt Rawle in the introduction to his book, “We are all part of a larger story – one that is still being written, one that is filled with hope, grace, and the promise of resurrection. As we embark on this journey together, I am reminded of the words of the apostle Paul: “For now we only see a reflection, as in a mirror, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12). Our journey of faith is one of continued discovery, seeing more clearly and knowing more deeply, and of being fully known and loved by God.”
The soup supper and study are open to the community. There is no charge for the meal. The book is $13. Please contact Pastor Andrea at pastorandreajohnson@gmail.com for more information and to reserve a book.
We begin on Wednesday, March 12 and conclude the study on Wednesday, March 16.
